Red Diamond DIVAS' Positive Actions

Cypress Springs High School's YLPA Organization, the Red Diamond D.I.V.A.S., is an organization that promotes high moral character, responsibility, good sportsmanship, school spirit, and unity among female students.

On October 26, 2007, Kisumu Project, Inc. will speak to Cy Springs High School's "Young Ladies for Positive Action" (YLPA) about the efforts of Kisumu Project, Inc., Young Generation's Center (YGC), and Solace International in Western Kenya. The YLPA ladies are interested in learning about Kenya and how they can use their positive actions to make a more global impact.

CSHS's YLPA
D.I.V.A.S. are red hot and ready to help YGC in their need for tools, supplies, and bicycles for the new vocational boarding school being built in Mbita, Kenya. YLPA sponsor Mrs. Uniquia Monroe will assist the ladies in organizing and facilitating a fund raiser and luncheon to share their mission of spreading positive actions throughout the world.

These
DIVAS believe in sharing their message of the importance of humanitarian efforts and helping others. A luncheon and guest speaker is planned for early December 2007. The esteemed Mrs. Elizabeth Gundo of Houston's Kenyan Women's Group has already accepted an invitation to be one of the guest speakers at the event! Mrs. Gundo will share the insight and experiences she gained while teaching in Kisumu, Kenya.
