On December 6, 2007, Cypress Springs' Red Diamond DIVAS will host a "By Invitation Only" district wide luncheon for campus YLPA club officers, sponsors, and campus administrators to launch their community based fund raiser for orphans in Kisumu, Kenya. CSHS DIVAS hope to see their positive actions spread to other campuses so that the Cy Fair community can make a remarkable difference in the lives of students in East Africa.
After hearing about the plight of the two million orphans in Kenya, the DIVAS believe that their mission is to not only assist children who have lost their families, but to also demonstrate to both Cy Fair citizens and other Houstonians that 1+1+1 = 3. Or, in DIVA language, one positive action, plus one, plus one, becomes many positive deeds and actions that will INFINITELY influence the lives of fellow human beings. Forever! Can you get much better than that?
Remember that one positive action, plus one positive action, plus one positive action will make the world a better place to live! Now, that is some powerful DIVA talk!
Invitees will have the privilege of hearing the esteemed Elizabeth Gundo of the Kenyan Women's Group of Houston and Kenneth Osore, executive director of Kisumu Project, Inc. share their experiences while living in Western Kenya.
Stay tuned to our DIVA site for more information because these ladies are going to sparkle! Remember that by helping one + one + one, you bring about the power to magnify the positive in the world!
Let's keep up that scintillating DIVA talk!
